Waitakere Outrigger Canoe Club has a variety of fee structures to serve most needs.

YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEGINS

Membership fee is applicable from the date you first paddled with the club. Excluding the first 4 free sessions you are given as a novice paddler.

FAMILY FEES

Family Fee structure caters for one or two Parent Paddlers and your direct dependents that live with you. So if you have three children and only one parent paddles, then the One Parent Family covers the parent and all three children. The child/ren must be yours and live with you or that you are the legally appointed guardian of that child to be eligible for that fee structure.

WANZ (waka ama new zealand)

Waka Ama New Zealand is our governing National Body for waka ama, and the WANZ fee is an annual fee payable per paddler per year to this Organisation. As an affiliated club, it is our responsibility to collect the WANZ fee off each club member and pass it on to WANZ. We have set out the WANZ fees below. You will need to add these fees to the club membership fee.

WANZ FEE STRUCTURE

These fees must be added to the club membership fee that applies to your circumstances further below.

$15 per Open/Senior (20 years and over as at 1 October)
$12 per Junior (14 to 19 years as at 1 October)
$5 per Midget/Intermediate (13 years and under as at 1 October)

AROCA (Auckland Regional Outrigger Canoe Association)

AROCA is the regional body for waka ama in Auckland and the AROCA fee is an annual fee payable per paddler per year to this organisation as of October 2016. As an affiliated club, it is our responsibility to collect the AROCA fee off each club member and pass this onto AROCA. Please find following the AROCA fees below. You will need to add these fees to the club membership fee.

AROCA FEE STRUCTURE

These fees must be added to the club membership fee that applies to your circumstances further below.

$15 per Open/Senior (20 years and over as at 1 October)
$5 per Junior (14 to 19 years as at 1 October)
$5 per Midget/Intermediate (13 years and under as at 1 October)

SUMMER SEASON FEE

We are excited to be able to offer a Summer Season Fee that kicks off from the first day of daylight savings and finishes at the end of daylight savings the following year. This equates to 6 months worth of paddling. This membership allows the novice paddler access to continue participating in the Novice Nights (after their first 4 free sessions) and to move into weekday novice sessions. This is a straight fee irrespective of when you join. It does not permit you to race. Should you want to race, you will need to pay full membership (according to when you joined) and the NKOA & AROCA affiliation fee.

Full Summer Membership: $50

Full Time Student Card Holders: $40

NON paDDLEr supporters FEE

We are excited to offer a Supporters Fee for our members who support their whanau in our sport. This fee entitles our supporters to have voting rights in the clubs decision making at our meetings, but does not permit you to race. Should you want to race, you will need to pay full membership (according to when you joined) and the affiliation fees.

Supporters Fee: $30

FULL CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEE

Full membership runs from 1st October through to 30th September for any given year. Don't forget to add your applicable NKOA & AROCA fee as stated above to these prices.

Adult - $184.00 (20 years and over as at 1 October)

Adult - Full Time Student with valid ID - $120.00

Junior - $81.00 (14 to 19 years as at 1 October) + $20.00 Resource fee per paddler

Intermediate/Midget - $52.00 (13 years and under as at 1 October) + $20.00 Resource fee per paddler

Family (2 Parents paddling + 3 jnr paddlers) - $344.00 extra child $30 mid-int or $40 14-19yrs + $20.00 Resource fee per jnr paddler

Family (1 Parent paddling + 3 jnr paddlers) - $200.00 extra child $30 mid-int or $40 14-19yrs + $20.00 Resource fee per jnr paddler

HALF CLUB MEMBERSHIP

If you join the club after the 28th February of any given year, your club fees are. Don't forget to add your applicable NKOA & AROCA fee as stated above to these prices:

Adult - $92.00 (20 years and over as at 1 October)

Adult - Full Time Student - $60.00

Junior - $40.50 (14 to 19 years as at 1 October) + $20.00 Resource fee per paddler

Intermediate/Midget - $26.00 (13 years and under as at 1 October) + $20.00 Resource fee per paddler

Family (2 Parents paddling + 3 jnr paddlers) - $172.00, extra child $15 mid-int or $20 14-19yrs + $20.00 Resource fee per jnr paddler

Family (1 Parent paddling + 3 jnr paddlers) - $100.00, extra child $15 mid-int or $20 14-19yrs + $20.00 Resource fee per jnr paddler

QUARTER CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEE

If you join the club after the 31st May of any given year, your club fees are as follows. Don't forget to add your applicable NKOA & AROCA fee as stated above to these prices:

Adult - $46.00 (20 years and over as at 1 October)

Adult - Full Time Student - $30.00

Junior - $20.25 (14 to 19 years as at 1 October) + $20.00 Resource fee per paddler

Intermediate/Midget - $13.00 (13 years and under as at 1 October) + $20.00 Resource fee per paddler

Family (2 Parents paddling + 3 jnr paddlers) - $86.00, extra child $7.50 mid-int or $10.00 14-19yrs + $20.00 Resource fee per jnr paddler

Family (1 Parent paddling + 3 jnr paddlers) - $50.00 extra child $7.50 mid-int or $10.00 14-19yrs + $20.00 Resource fee per jnr paddler

SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP FEE

For schools that wish to use the Club waka for secondary school regatta, a $40 fee applies to each individual paddler (equivalent to the Summer Fee) - those students who are already Club members do not need to pay this fee. School participation and use of waka is also conditional on the following:

Includes limited use of paddles and life jackets for on-site use only (but excludes steering blades). School teams are encouraged to purchase their own equipment.
Waka bookings as per the Club rules will apply.
Induction of the coach, manager, teachers, and/or whānau support must occur BEFORE the first training session commences.
The Coach MUST pay the full membership fee (unless they are already a Club member).
A paddler paying the school membership fee cannot race for the Club unless their membership is up-graded to full membership.

EXISTING MEMBERS

For existing club members NKOA & AROCA fees are due before we able to register you to any races. Fees are identified in your annual membership renewal invoice due 30th September. We do provide a payment plan over three months. All club fees must be paid before registration acceptance into the National Waka Ama Sprints Regatta in January.

Clubs Annual lease to Te Atatu Boat Club for WOCC Grounds
Maintenance on all Club owned W6
Maintenance & Service for Club Boat
Registration & maintenance fees of all Club trailers
Maintenance of Waka Trolley’s
Maintenance of Club Grounds
Club Operational expenses eg Annual audit, accounting software, bank fees, website fees etc
Some Club Events

The Jnr Resource fee goes towards:

Paddle per training session
Lifejacket per training session
